IMPORTANT UPDATE November 2020: Many members at the AffLift forum started mentioning they couldn’t spend a dime with Megapush anymore.
It looks like they closed down their publisher’s network or they are not paying their publishers anymore for their traffic as pointed out here: https://cpa.rip/news/megapush-dolg-26k/
Because of that, of course, you can’t buy traffic from them anymore but it seems also impossible to spend money from other sources or feeds, as they called them.
If you have pending funds with them try to get them back (via PayPal dispute or CC) or try to spend it as much as possible. Who knows for how long will they be able to stay online.
This comes at no surprise since there were many posts about the support and quality going down since 2019. It seems like they didn’t survived the hard times of 2020.
I originally wrote this article at the end of 2017 and I was making constant 3-4 figures per day with them, but nowadays I can barely spend a couple of dollars per day. Proceed with caution or stay away completely!

Being an affiliate means keeping up with the latest tendencies which can happen every year. One that started last year and it’s coming back from the dead after 5 years is push notifications.
Push notifications were actually almost dead back when I started promoting mobile affiliate offers back in 2013. I heard about how good it was but how everybody hated it so it ended up disappearing as it was very intrusive in the form of mobile app notifications.
This time, however, they’re back with new rules and even big companies like Google have standards that work with huge websites, WordPress, and mostly through secured SSL websites.
This trend kind of started in 2017 but this year it has been very clear that a lot of ad networks are adding web push notifications to their arsenal to increase their revenue and reach more people while other sources have declined a little.
Just by checking my email, I can quickly see at least 20 networks who sent me a reminder of how they just recently added push notifications and want me to test it.
However, there are some networks that have been recently launched that focus completely on push notifications and today we’re going to take a look at MegaPush.
This network was launched earlier this year (2018) and I was contacted by one of their managers (Mariam) to test it just a couple of weeks ago.
If you’ve been following me for a while or even talked to me at a conference you know my focus has been mostly on pop and Facebook traffic for the last years. However, I wanted to give push notifications a try as the traffic seems to convert well and the process of creating campaigns is very similar to running native ads. Native seems to be like a mix between pop traffic and native, both in quality and how it works.
What are push notifications?
If you don’t know how a push notification looks like, here’s an example:
Push notifications are available in both mobile and desktop formats and browsers supported are Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
Safari just works on Desktop at the moment so if you’re looking to test mobile push notifications keep in mind only Android traffic is available at the moment. Apple seems to be working on their push notifications for iOS but so far it doesn’t work.
Megapush has a bigger ad format for some browsers, which leads to higher CTRs and more traffic available.
According to the traffic source you use the volumes available will be different. In the case of MegaPush, you’ll see mostly tier 3 countries having most of the volume and that’s interesting as well because it gives you an idea of the people who end up subscribing to this kind of ad format. Countries, where people seem to have less experience and understanding of technology, seem to be the ones with higher volume. It makes sense as my grandma (Mexico) actually ended up subscribing to tons of those notifications and receiving Nutra offers (for real) daily on her Android phone.
The average price is shown in cents, and they have a column for mobile (left) and desktop (right). I’ve seen the traffic distribution is more or less 60% mobile and 40% desktop.
MegaPush has a database of around 100 million subscribers so far, although they also receive traffic from some partner networks. This means they can deliver millions of clicks per day if you have the budget.
As for their traffic, most of the subscribers are Male and between 35 to 54 years old. If you understand your audience it will be easier to be profitable from the beginning. Also, check out the main interests:
From what I’ve seen, the most popular verticals running on push notifications are sweeps, dating, and apps. Also, things like crypto, casino, and gambling work well here.
MegaPush has a wide variety of payment methods available and the minimum amount seems to be $100. Keep in mind most payment methods have a small commission though:
The dashboard is still a bit antiquated and far from perfect, however launching campaigns and checking stats is easy, so no problems there. You can see just from the last week I’ve spent several hundreds of dollars with MegaPush while testing some offers and preparing this post.
MegaPush campaign creation
Creating a campaign is quite straightforward. If you’re familiar with native or plug ads this is going to be very similar. You’ll need to select a campaign name, input your tracking link and then enter all the info like the Title of the notification, a message capped at 45 characters, and your 2 images (icon and featured image).
After that, there isn’t really much to filter except for country, device, and operating system. MegaPush will show you the low, average, and high bid of the country you’ve selected in real-time. Keep in mind this bid is shown in cents.
Below that, you’ll find other stuff like capping by budget or clicks and the feeds where the traffic comes from which you will likely filter after running some traffic to optimize your campaign.
As far as I know, MegaPush has 4 dynamic tokens available. I use them all except for the {clickid} because I don’t pass back conversion data to the networks regularly.
The main token you’re going to use is the {feedid} token to optimize the traffic channels where you receive traffic and the bid token is very useful as well as it tracks my costs with Binom and I’ve seen the accuracy is above 95%.
This is how it looks in my Binom tracker in case it helps you set it up:
Honestly, the platform is OK, but it would be good to have other tokens like device and OS, which obviously can be tracked with any external tracker but the data isn’t always the same. Geo is another token I’d like to have available as well as a browser.
Besides that, I mentioned the platform wasn’t perfect because sometimes editing a campaign resets all of the settings and if you’re not aware of it you might end up with mixed traffic from several OSes and devices. It’s understandable for a platform that launched this year. I hope they get better eventually.
Quick Case Study – MegaPush
OK so finally I tested a few campaigns to show you how the traffic works.
In this screenshot I tested a mobile CPL offer in a tier 2 country for a few days before it got paused as the quality wasn’t backing up for the advertiser:
You can see the first day it didn’t get much traffic but the conversions were coming in and it was profitable.
The following days were much better, with higher traffic (I capped the budget a little as I was testing a new offer) and still good conversions coming in. The ROI of this offer in other sources like pop is usually well below 50% while push had 100-300% ROI.
Anyways, as I mentioned that offer was paused and I also tested another one:
This time it was a desktop sweep offer for a European country with a high payout per lead. I didn’t change the bids at all but after the 3rd-day traffic increased although ROI decreased initially when the volume went up.
I was testing 2 offers and 2 landers in this campaign and eventually selected the best offer.
Here are the feeds and how it’s shown when you track them:
In this case, feed2 was sending more traffic than any other and profitable. The original feed had less traffic but the ROI is quite higher.
Feed14 on the other hand was paused due to low performance. I’ll keep testing the offers to see how it goes, but definitely give this type of traffic a test.
From 6 campaigns I’ve tested so far only one bombed completely. The rest either received conversions or were profitable very fast while they lasted. Also keep in mind this type of traffic is like sending emails to a database. Since the traffic is not organic with newcomers every day, campaigns will die faster, and eventually, you’ll have to launch more campaigns or at least relaunch the same campaigns but with different creatives and angles. This is the nature of this traffic, so try to focus on the countries with higher volumes available to keep the campaigns running longer.
Anyway, that’s all for this quick case study.
Give MegaPush a test drive
My manager offered a simple $20 coupon for the first 10 subscribers who register through my link: Sign up here.
If you’re looking for a new traffic source to test and dominate keep in mind push notifications are being branded as native ads and thus Google shouldn’t give them a hard time (yet) as it’s growing quickly in the industry and is quite new.

Hola Servando.
Gracias y saludos.
Antonio.

Hi servando.i work on affilate with dating smartlink.and i need leads/conversations do you have any suggestion for me.
servandosilva says
Your question is too broad.
Suggestions about what? traffic sources? aff networks? some other thing?
Aurelio says
Hi Servando
great quality info on your website, congrats!
You said you don’t pass back conversion data to the networks regularly.
Is this because there’s the possibility that the ad network might spy your ads?
servandosilva says
Yeah.
Most traffic networks have media buying teams so giving away all of the info is not something I like to do unless I have a reason.
Also, I want to add that I’ve seen a lot of people having problems with Megapush’s support lately. It’s a hard network to recommend nowadays, unfortunately, considering there are many others with better support and UI.
Eric says
Is the $20 coupon still valid on top of $100 deposit to the Megapush via your referral link? If still valid, then i will create a new account today 🙂
servandosilva says
Hi Eric.
The coupon isn’t valid anymore as we filled all the positions available.
You can still create your account though 🙂 We have coupons for other networks available in our homepage if you want to test more.
Medford says
Stay away!!! the platform is notorious for overrunning budgets, by a lot… you have no control and every time you bring it up they give you a different excuse( A platforms self serve should do exactly what a user tells it to do- The excuses did not add up). twice in a row, I had campaigns that drained 90 bucks more in one day, for a trial campaign, doesn’t matter if you set a click limit or a budget limit.
servandosilva says
Hi Medford. Did this happen recently?
Megapush has indeed a reputation of overspending although it has been reduced a lot this year.
In my tests, we normally get 10% extra spend or so, which is much better than last year when some people had like 300% overspent.
This also depends a lot on the bid and geo.
I’m not trying to defend them or anything, but I have definitely noted improvements in their platform. They should learn from other networks like Zeropark or Propeller though, where the overspend is minimum and barely noticeable.
Naresh Kay says
Hi Servando,
Useful article – thanks.
Could you tell me if, in your view, Megapush (or any other push ads platform) would be a good choice for MMO / affiliate marketing niche offers?
I’m asking because the focus for push platforms seems to be on Sweepsakes, dating, crypto and other such niches, but I haven’t seen too many mentions of MMO or affiliate marketing.
Thanks a ton.
Naresh
servandosilva says
Hello Naresh.
It could be a good platform for MMO for sure if your funnel is strong and it converts well.
I’d focus on gathering leads (email) and then trying to monetize those leads to see how much you can pay per lead.
Marco says
Unfortunaly for EU company is impossible work with they, because they dont do invoice for payment, so if you have a company in the EU and you need an invoice, I advise you to contact your account manager first.
servandosilva says
Yeah, you’re not the first one telling me that.
Very unfortunate for people in the EU.
Ajay says
Hey servandosilva,
What i heard about Megapush is ; They need minimum of $1000 balance in account to run our ads in good speed. How much true is that?
When i ask to support , this is their reply :
“High speed. Decreasing the balance below $ 1000 will decrease the speed to 50%.
The average speed. With a balance above $ 1000, the speed increases to 100%, and with a balance of $ 500 decreases to 10%
Minimum speed. With a balance of $ 500 and above, the speed increases to 50%”
servandosilva says
The minimum deposit amount is $100 and you can start running ads with them.
If you want to spend a lot of money of course you’ll need more balance to be on the safe side because they sometimes have overspend issues, but this doesn’t mean you can’t run traffic even if you only have $50.

Thanks Servando for the post!
I have tested a campaign with $20 budget, but their system doesn’t seem to stop after the budget is used up. The total cost ran all the way to $55 and no sign of stopping. LOL
Hope that new comers will see this comment and test with caution.
; )
servandosilva says
Yeah, Megapush seems to be well known for over spending so all users need to take care and chose lower bids at the beginning unfortunately.
Sam Zadworny says
Hi Servando, awesome post as always! I’m just curious, what CTR did you get to your LP? I mean what percentage of people clicked the push notification. I’m playing with ZeroPark push traffic (will try Megapush soon) and getting around 0.35%, is this normal?
servandosilva says
Megapush doesn’t show you the impressions and CTR. Only clicks.
With Zeropark the avergae seems to be around 0.2 and 0.3 so that number seems fine.
belal says
Hello
thank you very much
is still the promo code work
i hope that
servandosilva says
Hi. The promo code is over now as it was limited to the first 10 persons.
But you can still sign up and test their traffic.

Thanks for sharing this post-Servando. The Available Megapush token in Binom you shared was also a Great help. I already have a promo code and will be testing the mega push platform. Thanks!
servandosilva says
Nice. Are you using Binom?
Fiona says
Hi Servando,
What budget you recommend for testing offers on Megapush? 3-4x payout or more?
servandosilva says
Hi Fiona.
It depends on the number of offers and landers you have, plus MegaPush has several feeds so I’d recommend at least 5-10x of the offer payout and multiply that if you have more than one lander(offer combination.
Rishi says
Hey Servando thanks for this article on Push.
Can you please suggest few other good sources of Push Notification ? I know Propeller is one, any other ones ? Thanks again .
servandosilva says
Richpush, MGID, Adsterra, Adcash, Clickadu, RevC, Datpush, Exoclick are just some of them. Pretty much every pop/native network has push notifications now so there are dozens or hundreds of networks available.
Rishi Makan says
Awesome thanks Servando

I’ll send the id’s of my referrals to my manager at the end of the week so they can add the bonuses (has to be done manually) next week.
I can see your email in the first ones so don’t worry. You’re in.
